Curatorial
Leadership
Summit

The Armory Show 2023 marks the sixth annual Curatorial Leadership
Summit.

The Armory Show’s Curatorial Leadership Summit is an annual, invitation-only daylong program that aims to foster innovation in the curatorial landscape.

The Virtual Curatorial Leadership Summit is a public discussion occuring in May. At the fair in September will be the closed-door Curatorial Leadership Summit, followed by a public keynote presentation.

Adrienne Edwards, Engell Speyer Family Curator and Director of Curatorial Affairs at the Whitney Museum of American Art, will chair the 2023 Curatorial Leadership Summit.

Titled Curating the Institution, the convening will constellate and take as its points of departure the historical, conceptual, and material threads manifested in and developed in collaboration with Eva Respini's Platform section and Candice Hopkins's Focus section.

The curatorial initiatives examine historical narratives – practices of artists both emerging and established whose work is informed by structures of inclusivity and exclusivity.
